Crenshaw Christian Academy is a private academic institution, located in Luverne, Alabama.

Academics

Academics and intellectual pursuits are a priority from kindergarten through graduation.  The AISA's President's Award, honoring academic excellence in the Alabama Independent School Association, was presented to CCA for 1994-1995 and 2001-2005.  Crenshaw Christian Academy is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and AISA.

The ABeka Curriculum is used in kindergarten through the 6th grade.  This year we are incorporating Glencoe math in fourth through sixth grade in an effort to improve our mathematics curriculum. Both of these have an outstanding history of producing excellent reading, writing, and math skills.  Science, social studies, and art studies are initiated early and are expanded throughout elementary grades.

Junior and Senior high school students develop skills in language arts and mathematics.  They expand their horizons with elective courses such as honors English, physics, physiology, accounting, chemistry, Calculus, Spanish and French.  The electives prepare students for college and life experiences.  In high school we have geared our curriculum to state requirements and offer an accelerated curriculum which allows seniors to better prepare for college. Additionally courses that are Advanced Placement and dual enrollment offer students the option to earn college credit while still in high school.

We offer different diplomas to meet the needs of all students. For a standard diploma, the required curriculum includes English (4), History (4), Science (4) and Math (4) through Algebra 2. The Advanced Academic Diploma and Advanced Honors Diploma require additional higher math and science and two years of a foreign language.
